Though, I thin...I would second Brian's comment. Though, I think redaction criticism is a good starting point if not 'the' starting point for narrative criticism. Good discussion of the texts Mark, thanks for this. Interestingly, I would think (shooting from the hip here) that Mark and Matthew would be similar with their portrayal with all the disciples, not just Peter, though also different with Matthew's portrayl of all the disciples in its spiritually concerated movement from beginning to end---especially with Mark's abrupt ending which really has all disciples in view as Matthew's positive ending has all disciples in view. Did all that blabber just make sense?
